Masters Degree in Hand Therapy

The University of Pretoria also presents a 2 year Masters degree in Hand Therapy by course work. This degree course commences every second year, alternating with the DHT course.

During the first year students complete an advanced course in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology. They also complete a course in research methods as well as clinical reasoning.

In the second year, they attend the DHT block weeks and participate in all the learning opportunities offered to the DHT students. They complete the same assignments but are required to submit additional assignments as instructed by the course coordinator. The students are examined at the end of the year.
